Boutique Style En-Suite in Codsall Wood
Simon Hyde starts the story of the family’s en-suite bathroom refurb, with the admission that they decorated the rest of the house first and then had the builders in to do the bathroom! Not the usual way of doing things, but he did it confident in the knowledge that when our workmen go in, they make no mess. It’s perfectly possible to live a ‘normal’ and clean life, around anything that may be going on.
Simon takes up the story from here. “My wife Liz and I did our initial research, and Roman Bathrooms stood out for their professional approach,” he says. “Once we’d met the staff, they brought all our vision to life and we knew it was the company to make it all happen.”
Their brief was to knock the existing dressing room and en-suite into one, to create a room with a ‘boutique hotel’ feel. It was to feel spacious but homely and had to contain a large walk-in shower, twin sinks and a large mirror.
Our designer Caroline went to visit and measure up and then produced a CAD design that Simon and Liz immediately loved. “She just ‘got it’” he says. “Then it was just a question of working through the finer details, down to the taps.”
This is when the re-decorating came in….. Simon and Liz were keen to get on with the rest of the house, so used the ‘lead’ time up to their job, to complete what needed doing. And when it was time for the new en-suite, they were thrilled with the approach of the workmen.
“There was just no mess,” he says. “Every day, they arrived on time, worked really hard, then spent the final 30 minutes doing a clean -up. It was wonderful – we were able to live completely normally. In fact – the entire process was scarily smooth and of course, we’ve recommended Roman Bathrooms to several people since then.”
