Clean And Modern Bathroom Transformation Delights
Imagine the exhaustion of visiting 10 bathroom companies and getting nowhere with your plans! That’s the story behind Susan and David Gill’s bathroom, in their home in Halesowen, West Midlands.
The couple had inherited the bathroom when they moved in 12 years ago, and back then it was freshly done. “There was nothing we couldn’t live with but it was not ideal,” says Susan. “It is a large bathroom but very little thought had been given to the layout.
On entry, you were greeted by the toilet. The bath was tucked away at the far side and the shower cubicle was so small it was impractical! Add all that up with no decent storage and boxed-in pipework all over- we couldn’t wait to get it changed!”
After trying other bathroom companies, they popped in on-spec to visit us at Roman Bathrooms. “What a difference,” says Susan.
“We were made to feel welcome immediately. Even though the showroom was busy, Claire made time for us and gave us her full attention. We explained our situation, showed her pictures and plans and discussed what we thought we wanted. Ultimately, Claire decided a site visit would be best, in order to really visualise and be in the best position to make suggestions. No other company had proposed that, and by this stage, we knew we were in the hands of real professionals.”
With the site visit duly completed, the next step was for Susan and David to come to the showroom and view the plans that Claire had prepared. There were three alternatives and the end result ended up being an amalgamation of the ideas. A fit date was booked for April, and then work began.
“It ended up taking 3 ½ weeks says Susan, but the fitters were wonderful. It was intricate work – all the piping had to be re-routed before anything could be put in place. The team were great, making sure that after just 5 days we had a working bath. There’s only so many times you can turn up at your neighbour’s house with your towel!”
Once the piping was in place, it was all systems go – in went the bath, shower, basin and toilet – with a couple of false walls installed to hide pipework and provide storage too.
“We are thrilled with the result,” says Susan. “We can’t fault the design process, the communications, the fitting or the end product. It’s been so brilliant –I just want people to know about Roman Bathrooms so they can have the kind of experience we had too!”
