Fabulous Family Kitchen
Knocking down a garage to extend their home of 7 years, meant that Julie and Chris Nightingale then needed a new kitchen. It’s a family home with them and their three children, and they wanted to increase the space and be able to enjoy time together in there more.
Fortunately, they were already aware of Roman Bathrooms, as they (and Chris’ mum) are previous customers, so it was simply a case of popping into the showroom for a meeting, to get the ball rolling.
“We had some ideas,” says Julie. “We wanted a country kitchen look. It’s a 1930s house, and a modern kitchen wouldn’t have looked right.
“I was also particularly keen on a Belfast sink and a range cooker, so these were all good starting points. And when we saw the colour of the Shaker units in the showroom, we were drawn to them. It all came together very quickly after that!”
The work took around a week, and they couldn’t be happier. The built-in breakfast bar is sited so they can enjoy the lovely views, and Julie loves her butler’s sink. There was also room for a dining table, and now the family have plenty of room to enjoy meals together.
“We’re talking about our en-suite next,” says Julie. “And of course – we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Roman Bathrooms have got us for life!”
