A modern bathroom that has it all in Harborne
Whilst some homeowners choose to take out a bath and replace it with a large walk-in shower, there are many that want to keep a bath as well as a shower when they update their bathroom.
This was the case for the owner of this period property in Harborne, she wanted to make a statement with a beautiful freestanding bath but also wanted a generous shower. The existing bathroom was outdated and had a lot of exposed pipework, which the owner wanted to hide. She was also looking for lots of storage to keep the new bathroom looking clean and clutter free.
Our design provided both the bath and shower along with extensive fitted furniture. The furniture was useful for hiding the pipework, and a raised step to showcase the freestanding bath also proved useful to keep things out of sight.
The luxurious freestanding bath is made for relaxation. The floor mounted taps create a smooth uninterrupted bath space. The addition of a pillow and a stylish bath tray to take essentials and reading material provides the perfect elements for a long sumptuous soak.
The quadrant shower makes the most of the space, with lots of glass and minimum frame it keeps the room looking light and spacious.
The owner opted to keep the dramatic dark colour on the ceiling in the room, which is balanced by the neutral colour scheme and complemented by the brighter traditional patterned tiles on the floor.
Extra lighting included in the bath step and the illuminated mirror, keeps everything bright.
Finishing touches such as the inset shelving in the shower and the built in toilet roll holder keep everything neat and tidy, enhancing the feeling that this is a luxury boutique bathroom for indulgence.
