A Modern Update for a Quality Bathroom
As a lover of all things quality, it was a difficult decision for Roger Burnell and his wife Ann to tear out their old cast-iron bath but the fact they hadn’t used it for years, was the ultimate deciding factor.
“The bathroom dated back to the 1970’s and it was very retro,” says Ann. “All good quality but desperately in need of an update. We decided that in the process of the update, we needed to maximise space, so the bath’s days were numbered!”
The process began when they contacted us at Roman Bathrooms, after various recommendations from friends and neighbours. The couple came in to see us with flexible ideas based around a modern look and a neutral, light palette.
Within the design, we included a large shower, with seating. There was also a built-in hand basin, plenty of storage underneath and a lovely chrome towel rail/heater. “We loved the design,” says Ann, “so we decided not to look elsewhere. We knew we would be getting quality and ultimately – that’s what we wanted.”
The fit took a couple of weeks, with no hitches and now the couple are taking their time to put a few final touches of their own to the room. “We’re hand-stripping a door we wanted to keep,” says Ann, “and we had a blind fitted recently too. The man who fitted it was from another company and even he commented on the quality and expertise of the tiling. It’s absolutely perfect – just like the rest of the room, we’re thrilled that we made such a great choice in Roman Bathrooms.”
