When you’ve lived in the same home for 48 years and don’t want to leave, it’s ideal to be able to update and improve at the same time as building in accessibility for the future.
That was the thinking behind the recent work done at the home of Mrs Boller in Wolverhampton, who recently converted several rooms to make them more modern and accessible.
Mrs Boller had heard of us on recommendation, so visited the showroom open to ideas on what to do with the existing bathroom and the out-dated wine store. After chatting about her preferences, we came up with a few ideas which have been completed on separate occasions over the past year.
Downstairs, the wine store now benefits from a widened door and has become a wet room with half-glass door, a washbowl and under-floor heating. Across the way is a separate WC. Upstairs (the first job we completed) is a bathroom and separate WC. Both rooms have been completed in neutral colours with feature tiles and plenty of stylish storage space.
“I’m delighted with both results,” says Mrs Boller. “On one of the jobs, I went on holiday for two weeks and was very happy to leave the keys with the workmen. They were very trustworthy and got on with the job without supervision. I was very happy with them, and with Claire the designer, who absolutely knows what she’s doing. I’m very happy to have discovered Roman Bathrooms!”
