A Stylish Future Proof Wet Room in Halesowen

A wet room is often misunderstood with many homeowners thinking that it will be too difficult and expensive to install in their home.  Whilst it is true that it will not be the cheapest option, there are many ways to incorporate a wet room into a bathroom design and it is does provide a stylish and future proof solution for many families.

This was the case for Yvonne and Ray from Halesowen when they came back to us, after two previous projects, to modernise their main bathroom.  They wanted to replace a sunken bath that they had enjoyed for many years with something that was more accessible.

“I enjoy a long soak in the bath and whilst I wanted the ease of access that a wet room and shower brings I did not want to give up on using the bath,” says Yvonne.

Our solution was to provide a wet room environment in front of a bath providing the best of both worlds.  The wet room area includes a large fixed rainwater head shower as well as a hand held shower, the screen can be moved to create a shower area or folded back to give access to the bath.  A lift was fitted to the bath later so that Yvonne can enjoy the bath too.

“We are delighted with the wet room solution, it looks amazing, works well for both of us and is a dream to keep clean and maintain,” adds Ray.  “Claire was great during the decision making process, she had lots of suggestions and ideas that helped us make the right choices.

“We visited the showroom to look at a 3D design before we committed so we could see how the products and the floor and wall tiles all looked together.

“The installation team were very good, the workmanship was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

“Roman Bathrooms looked after the complete installation, coordinated all of the different trades and checked on progress, making it stress free for us.  We are once again really pleased with Roman Bathrooms and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.”
