Contemporary Shower room
Every client is different but one thing we do encounter quite often, is customers who want a complete change. Some go from modern to very traditional and others in the opposite direction.
This was the case for Elaine and Mitchell Woods of Stourbridge. Their previous bathroom was very traditional, with a roll top bath, a toilet with a high cistern and pull chain, plus dark orange walls for a touch of drama!
“We moved to this house 18 months ago,” says Mitchell. “We inherited the bathroom and lived with it as it was perfectly functional but eventually enough was enough. We wanted a bathroom that was much more modern, with more light and a cleaner, fresher feel to it.”
It just so happens that Roman Bathrooms fitted a bathroom for the couple over 30 years ago, so when they saw our local advertising, their memories were jogged, and they contacted us.
“We didn’t need to speak to anyone else, as we already knew the quality of the work and the service,” says Mitchell. “We just booked an appointment, went in with our ideas and together with the designer, we sat and tweaked them until we had what we wanted.”
The job was to turn the bathroom into a shower room for the couple, as part of a larger extension project. The room incorporates not only the shower but a double basin too. There are large hotel-style tiles to give a feeling of luxury, and in-built recesses for stylish storage too.
The work took around four weeks, with a short break whilst Elaine and Mitchell went to France for a couple of days. “Roman Bathrooms worked around us and things continued without a hitch when we got back,” says Mitchell.
As before, they are delighted with the work. So much so, that as the build continues, there are plans to call us back in to design the next step, a lovely modern family bathroom. We look forward to meeting Elaine and Mitchell again soon!
